The Reptile Report - This weird little dude from the TRR Tumblr page has caused quite the stir online. At first we weren’t sure if it was real. Must be some kind of photoshop, right?

But no, this is Bipes biporus, the mole amphisbaenian, from Baja, California. Commonly known as the 5-toed worm lizard, this is indeed a reptile, and ONLY has front legs. Those little legs act like paddles, as well as aiding digging and burrowing. This is one of the coolest herps I have ever seen!
