YouTube - This video shows the process of identifying sex in blue-tongue lizards using contrast radiography. Dr Steven Mallett of Pawprint Vet Practice assessed the accuracy of this technique in collaboration with the Avian and Exotic Pet Service, University of Queensland, Veterinary Medical Centre in 2015. In a group of 20 lizards (all greater than 20cm snout-vent-length) it was found to be 100% accurate.
