International Herpetological Symposium is right around the corner
Facebook - If you haven’t heard about the International Herpetological Symposium yet, you are missing out. The annual IHS meeting is one of the best events in the reptile community. It offers a variety of events from guest lectures featuring the best of our industry, research, private keepers and zoo professionals and fun excursions like field trips with behind the scenes tours at zoos around the country.
This year’s event is being held on at the Astor Crowne Plaza in beautiful New Orleans, LA. Speakers will include our very own Robyn Markland and Chad Brown teaming up with Brian Barczyk to talk on The Evolution of the Reptile Business. Instead of a normal field trip, The Audubon Zoo, the Aquarium of the Americas and the Audubon Butterfly Garden and Insectarium will be open to all attendees for the duration of the symposium as well as 2 days before and after so that you can visit on your own schedule.
A wonderful Cajun barbecue on Thursday night and the annual IHS Auction and banquet on Friday night offer a great time to meet other members of the reptile community as well as some of your own personal heros!
Check out the IHS at their website or keep up to date with them on their Facebook page after the jump!@ Facebook
