On the Web - Scientists studied two geographically distinct populations of the Bornean gliding lizard (Draco cornutus) and discovered that the coloration of each population mimicked the dominant fall foliage in their respective ranges. The group in mangrove dominated habitats evolved red gliding membranes to resemble mangrove leaves, while a more rainforest-like habitat developed green and brown membranes.
