On the Web - A fossil specimen found in China seems to represent a family group of 1 adult and 6 juveniles and may be the oldest documentable case of post-natal parental care in reptiles. This Philydrosauras fossil dates back to the Jurassic, and is the oldest of a growing sample of examples of post-natal care in the Choristoderes order.
