Salamander Trade Ban Draws Praise and Frustration

On the Web - While some are pleased with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s recent ban on the importation and interstate transport of 201 species of salamanders in an attempt to prevent the spread of Batrachochytrium salamandrivorans (Bsal fungus), others are frustrated by this overreaching decision which will make research, zoo keeping and pet ownership much more difficult.
