On the Web - A field study in Costa Rica found two populations of the south Pacific streamside frog, a species last sighted in 1997.   This marks the 8th species recently rediscovered that was thought to be lost to science.  The streamside frogs, like many, went into massive decline due to disease, largely chytrid fungus, in the 1990’s.
