The Reptile Report - On Jan. 2, the 112th Congress adjourned, having narrowly avoided sending the country over the so-called fiscal cliff – and, better yet, putting the final nail in the coffin of HR 511. If a bill fails to pass both the House and Senate during the two year session, it “dies” on adjournment and must be re-introduced and go through the entire committee process from scratch, and is assigned a new bill number. And so, HR 511 is now officially “dead”.
