birdspidersCH: Ephebopus and Urticating Hairs
by Editor in Chief
YouTube - birdspidersCH discusses the great work and new hypothesis based on transcriptome genetic data. They also show the enclosure of small/juvenile Ephepobus spiderlings. These are truly an amazing group of tarantulas, which are first arboreal, and then later change to fossorial. They have a great appetite and special ability to flick urticating hairs from their pedipalps, unlike any other tarantula species.
