Kemp’s Ridley Again in Decline

On the Web - The Kemp’s Ridley had been making a slow comeback over the past decade, but the 2001 and 2014 nesting seasons have numbers again in decline, possibly due in part to the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Scientists are meeting in Texas at the Second International Kemp’s Ridley Sea Turtle Symposium to discuss how to again brighten the survival prospects for this iconic endangered species.
