On the Web - This species of critically endangered Fiji iguana was thought to have completely vanished from the islands of Malolo and Monuriki. However, a small breeding population consisting of one adult male, two adult females, and three juvenile animals has been recorded since their initial sighting in 2011. A new gene pool could be incredibly valuable for the conservation of this species.
