USARK - Senate Bill 906 (SB906) has been pre-filed in Florida. SB906 will add both the green iguana (Iguana iguana) and the Argentine black and white tegu (Salvator merianae) as conditional species, or possibly prohibited species. This will mean that a person may not keep, possess, import into the state, sell, barter, trade, or breed these species for personal use or for sale for personal use. Anyone working with these species will need to abide by all conditional species regulations (licensing, facility inspections, microchipping, no Florida sales, etc.) unless FWC elevates them to prohibited.
